Routing Water on a Sloped Lot
When the yard slopes toward the house, a downspout that empties at the corner can send water right back against the foundation. We plan each outlet based on how the ground falls:
- Downspouts on the downhill side whenever possible
- Extensions or buried lines that carry uphill runoff around the house
- Splash blocks that keep water from cutting trenches in the soil
- Advice on French drains when surface water from uphill is part of the problem
Working With Older Homes
Older houses often have wide wood fascia, crown details and eaves that aren't perfectly straight. We check the trim before hanging anything and replace only the soft sections. We add drip edge so water can't wick behind the gutter. Then we form seamless gutters on site to fit each run of the roof exactly.
Gutter Guards for Wooded Lots
