Retaining Wall or Garden Wall?
A retaining wall holds soil at two different heights, so it must resist pressure from behind and manage water. A garden wall is freestanding or holds very little soil: it defines space, frames beds or adds a place to sit. Natural fieldstone and flagstone feel at home in traditional landscapes. Segmental block comes in many colors and textures and is very consistent. Brick suits older homes with brick facades. We choose caps, mortar or dry-laid joints and color to tie into what you already have. Every wall, even a short one, gets a compacted base and a path for water so it does not lean.

Retaining and garden wall projects commonly range from roughly $2,500 to $10,000, depending on length, height, material and site access. How long will a garden or retaining wall last?
Well-built stone or block walls with proper bases and drainage can last for decades. Timber walls have a shorter life. Drainage is the biggest factor in longevity.

Do you offer maintenance for existing walls?
We can inspect, clear drainage, reset loose caps and repair sections of older walls. Leaning or bulging walls may need partial rebuilding.

Yes. Even a two-foot wall holding wet clay faces real pressure. Gravel backfill and a weep system keep water from pushing it over time.
