Fiber cement trim pairs naturally with fiber cement siding and holds paint well. PVC and cellular trim resist moisture completely and work well at ground level and around wet areas. We remove old siding and trim, repair what we find, install a weather barrier and flashing, then set trim before the siding fills in. What materials do you recommend for long-lasting results?
Fiber cement siding with fiber cement or PVC trim is a durable, low-rot combination. Quality vinyl with PVC or aluminum-wrapped trim is a strong budget option.
Do soffit and fascia have to be replaced with new trim?
Not always. If they are sound we can leave them or wrap them, but rotted fascia should be replaced before new gutters or trim are attached. We will point out any soft areas during the estimate.
