Roofing photos often show aged, curling or patched shingles giving way to a uniform new system. When you compare them, look past the color. Check that shingle lines run straight, that ridge caps sit evenly, and that metal flashing is visible and tidy where the roof meets walls and chimneys. Siding, Trim and Gutters
Siding projects tend to produce the most dramatic change, especially when faded vinyl or weathered wood is replaced with James Hardie fiber cement or a fresh profile like board-and-batten. Good work shows straight, level courses, clean corners, tight trim around windows, and consistent gaps where siding meets trim. When gutters are part of the job, look for seamless runs, a slight slope toward downspouts, and downspouts that discharge away from the foundation.
Windows and Doors
Window and door upgrades show up in cleaner sightlines, matching trim and better proportions. In the after photos, check that exterior trim is sealed and finished, that sills are pitched to shed water, and that new units sit square in the opening. Inside shots, when included, should show neat interior trim with no gaps.
Outdoor Living Spaces
These projects turn an open yard or bare slab into a space people actually use: covered patios, pergolas, outdoor kitchens, fire features and walkways. Look at how the new structure ties into the house roofline, how paver or concrete surfaces are graded for drainage, and whether lighting and seating were planned rather than added as an afterthought. Every project in this portfolio started with an inspection and a set of "before" photos documenting the existing condition. We use those same photos when we review options with homeowners and, on storm jobs, when we help document damage for insurance. Ask during your estimate. We can show photos of the materials and styles you are considering and bring product samples so you can compare colors and textures in person.
Will you take before photos of my home?
Yes. We photograph existing conditions during the inspection and keep progress and completion photos as part of the project record.
