Design Starts With How You Live
We begin on site, looking at sun and shade, slope, drainage, views, the back door and how the space connects to the house. Then we talk about you: how many people you host, whether you cook or just grill, whether children or pets use the yard, and what you want to do on a July afternoon versus a November evening. From that we produce a layout and material plan, then refine it with you before pricing is finalized.
Everything We Install
- Ground surfaces: paver and concrete patios, natural stone, walkways and steps.
- Decks: pressure-treated and composite decking, rails and stairs.
- Shade: pergolas, pavilions, covered porches and screened rooms.
- Cooking: outdoor kitchens, islands, bars and dining areas.
- Fire and water: fire pits, fireplaces, fire tables and water features.
- Structure and finish: retaining walls, seat walls and lighting.

Materials Chosen for Mississippi Weather
Our climate is hard on outdoor builds: long humid summers, heavy downpours, spring storms with hail and high wind, and clay soils in many areas that swell and shrink. We respond with compacted and well-drained bases under hardscape, galvanized or stainless fasteners, capped composite or properly treated lumber, aluminum or well-sealed wood for shade structures, and positive drainage away from the house. Covered areas are tied to the structure with appropriate connectors so they stay put in wind.
Realistic Timelines
A simple patio can take about 1 to 2 weeks to install. Larger projects run longer and in phases: roughly 1 to 2 weeks for design and proposal, a permitting period of about 2 to 4 weeks where required depending on the municipality, 1 to 2 weeks of site preparation and foundation work, then about 3 to 8 weeks of installation for the main features. Combined projects with a patio, kitchen, deck and landscaping can take a couple of months or more. We give you a written schedule up front.
How to Get Started
The first step is a free on-site consultation and estimate. Bring photos you like and a rough budget range if you have one; it helps us steer the design. Comparing shade options? Our pergola vs. pavilion guide is a good primer.
Common Questions
How long does a complete outdoor living project take?
A simple patio may be done in 1 to 2 weeks. Multi-feature projects that include design, permits, site work and several structures commonly take a couple of months or more. We provide a phase-by-phase schedule with your proposal.
How do you make sure the design fits my home?
We study the house's architecture, rooflines and materials and match or complement them. You see a layout and material selections before construction, and we revise until it feels right.
What does a custom outdoor living space cost?
Costs vary widely with size, features and materials, from a modest patio to a full kitchen and pavilion. We price every project individually and provide an itemized free estimate so you can adjust scope to fit your budget.
How do you build for Mississippi's climate?
We focus on drainage, solid bases, corrosion-resistant hardware, weather-rated materials and secure connections for covered structures. Those details matter more in our heat, humidity and storms than any single product choice.
