Repair or Full Replacement?
Isolated wind damage on a younger roof can often be repaired. Widespread hail bruising, damage across several slopes or an older roof with brittle shingles usually calls for roof replacement. Matching is also a factor: if replacement shingles cannot reasonably match the existing roof, that is worth discussing with your adjuster.
