What Happens on Site
On the first morning, the crew lead walks through the plan with you. Floors and furniture near the work are covered. Each old window is removed, the opening is cleaned and inspected, and the new unit is set, leveled, anchored, insulated and sealed before the crew moves on. Doors follow the same pattern, with extra time spent adjusting swing, latch and threshold. Old units and debris are hauled away daily.
How Long It Takes
The installation itself generally takes one to three days, depending on the number of openings and how much repair the frames need. A single entry or patio door is often done in a day. Larger homes, second-story openings over a roof and openings that need new framing sit at the longer end of that range. We keep you updated if anything found behind the old unit changes the plan.
The Final Walkthrough
Before we leave, we open, close and lock every window and door with you, show you how tilt-in sashes and screens work, and point out care tips. You receive your warranty information in writing. For longer-term care, our seasonal exterior checklist includes window and door items. Clinton homeowners researching other upgrades can visit our Clinton roofing page.
