Design Considerations Before You Choose
Think about where you will hear and see it. A water wall near a bedroom window can be soothing or annoying depending on volume, so we pick pumps with adjustable flow. Wind direction matters, since gusts can blow a sheet of water onto furniture. Power needs a weather-protected outlet close by. For mounted features, the supporting wall must be sound and waterproofed. Material choice, whether stainless, copper, glass or stone, sets the tone.
The Install Process
After a free consultation we finalize size and finish, prepare a level footing or mounting surface, set the basin and pump vault, run power and plumbing, then build or mount the wall face. We tune the flow until the sheet runs evenly with minimal splash, and if lighting is included, aim it for the best effect. Many installs are completed in a few days. Year-Round Use and Care
In Oxford's climate, most water walls run comfortably for much of the year. During hard freezes, it is best to turn the pump off and drain exposed lines. Do water walls need much maintenance?
Not much. Keep the basin topped off, clean the face to prevent mineral buildup and check the pump intake for debris every few weeks in summer.
Can a water wall be added to my existing patio?
Usually, yes. We can set a freestanding unit on a level pad or mount a feature on a sound existing wall, as long as power is accessible.
Do I need a permit?
Small decorative water features generally do not, but electrical work and larger built walls can have requirements. We confirm what applies during planning.
