How a Traction Coating Works
Unlike plain paint or a clear sealer, a slip-resistant coating system includes fine aggregate, such as silica or polymer grit, broadcast into or mixed with the coating. The texture creates grip underfoot even when wet, while the coating itself bonds to the concrete and resists UV and moisture. Options range from clear grit-added sealers that keep the existing look to colored, textured resurfacing that refreshes worn concrete.
